Valentines Day

It's not often I get excited about a holiday when Ricky's not here. But this year I felt a desire to go all out (sort of) for Valentines Day. So Saturday I painted my nails (something I haven't done for a year).
Sunday I put on my "Valentines" dress and got all dolled up, just cause its part of my valentines tradition.
And even though I spent valentines alone most of the day and then babysitting for a friend so they could enjoy and nice evening out, I still felt loved by Ricky. He ordered and had flowers delivered to me.
He may be thousands of miles away but he still loves me! And he remembered that I love lilies! They're there, just not blooming yet. Thank you Ricky! I love you!
Happy Valentines Day!

Birthday Present

Well I'd like to say that I've been so busy and can't keep up with my New Years Resolution, but that wouldn't be true. I have had quite a bit of free time, I just choose to use it in other ways then getting projects done. Luckily it's not always like that cause I did complete a project for my brother-in-law's birthday. Unfortunately his birthday is today and I still haven't gotten it sent out. I hope he understands.
It's a sign with his favorite quote from John Wayne.
It didn't turn out quite like I had hoped but I still like it enough to send to him. Happy Birthday Tony! I hope you like it!

Babysitting

So this last week I had the opportunity to watch three wonderful kids of some friends while they were able to go on a cruise. It was definitely an experience. I went from pretty much doing nothing all day to dropping kids off at school making lunches and going out to play. The hardest part was going from staying up late and sleeping in to being exhausted by 9 p.m. and having to get up at 7 a.m. The first night there I woke up every 2 hours because I was afraid of sleeping through my alarm. I did get the schedule down and we all had a pretty good time all week. I didn't take any photos cause I felt like I was running around with my head chopped off most of the time, but I did borrow this photo from my friends facebook page so you could see how cute the kids that I watched are.
This was taken almost a year ago but it was the best I could do. The oldest girl, Alexis age 6, was always willing to help me and made things much easier then they could have been. Ryan, age 4, was very fun to play with and was completely obsessed with paper airplanes. He had me make over 13. I loved it. Whitney, age 2, was very cute. She loved to cuddle and was constantly mimicking me when ever I had to yell at Chester. I have to say my favorite parts of the week was when Ryan and Whitney would start singing songs they knew while playing, and when Lexi made sure to play with Whitney and Ryan when we went to the park to play, even though there were lots of other kids to play with.
I loved feeling like a mommy. Even though it was crazy and hectic I made it through and the kids were happy and because of this experience I'm not afraid of having kids. Cause even though it may be hard I can do it!
