Twins!

I have a good friend in my ward who is having twin girls very soon. She is one amazing lady. There's been some issues with the girls. Baby A is taking some of the nutrients from Baby B. Or at least that's how I understand it. But so many miracles have happened for them. They were originally going to have to go in for surgery, but the levels evened out enough that the doctors no longer recommended it. It's been like that most of the time, the levels would go out of whack and then (after lots of prayers were offered by I'm sure countless people) they would even out again. But anyways... Today is her baby shower and I decided those little girls needed some tutus.
The picture doesn't do justice to the pink but they are. I think tutus are absolutely adorable! Making these makes me want one. Maybe for Halloween...

3 - 2 - 1 Blast Off

Ricky and I spent this last Saturday enjoying the company of friends and the joy of shooting off model rockets. Yes, we have awesome friends! It was a very enjoyable day, even with the heat.
Ricky was very proud of his rockets. He made both of them.
 Getting ready for ignition.
 And blast off!
I just have to say that his first rocket failed spectacularly. It was a 2 stage rocket and the second engine didn't go off until the rocket was already heading back towards the ground so it got blasted into the ground. It was awesome!
Some of the other rockets set off that day.
One of like 5 photos Ricky decided he needed to take of me. I tried to pull my hair back into a ponytail but it stuck strait out behind me. I guess it's still too short for that.
Some more rockets. Yes, this is a pencil.
NASA getting ready for lift off.
Ricky could have shot off rockets all day, but the kids lost interest and started getting tired. All in all it was a great day!

Breakfast of Champions!

So I've been over indulging my sweet tooth lately. And on of my favorite breakfasts is crepes. I have an amazing family recipe I grew up on that is super easy to make (for me), but is really hard to share cause it's all done from sight. I learned by my mother showing me how to make it and that's how it will have to be taught. But anyways, I found this amazing cream recipe on pinterest (it also has a crepe recipe if you want one since I can't teach you mine). So this morning I decided that I needed to have a good breakfast so I made this.
If you don't think it looks good, well thats your loss cause it was FANTASTIC!!!! I even put nutella on 2 of them cause, well I've become obsessed with nutella, and yes those are fresh strawberries, with whipped cream on top. I might have over indulged by eating all 4 but I couldn't let any go to waste. It's ok to be jealous that I don't cook you breakfast, at least on the days that I actually cook breakfast.

The Not So Great Weekend

So adjusting to Ricky being home has been... not bad but difficult. Not that I miss being alone all the time, it's just weird going from nothing to having someone with me pretty much 24/7. Granted I think we're doing really well. Only argued 1 time. Unfortunately the timing of said argument was not good at all. Poor Ricky had to deal with me being upset over nothing, then when he was coming home from his 1st day back at work his car (the second love of his life) stopped working. It wouldn't move when in gear. To make matters worse the only rental car available was this...
If anyone know's Ricky, then you know he makes fun of these little dinky cars. He was so embarrassed to be seen in this thing. So knowing my husband and his profound love of good cars, I burst out laughing as soon as I saw this car, like almost falling on the ground I was laughing so hard. I did hug and comfort my grieving husband after that, so do think me completely heartless. He spent most of the weekend trying to make light the fact that he hated this car after driving his dream car. Luckily today we found out that the shop where our car is at can overnight the parts and it should be fixed by tomorrow and the dealer where we bought the car has offered to pay for the repair. So I guess the bad luck weekend has ended!
